Day 20
The tile has been picked up and looks so pretty. Have to pick a grout + show them what staggered means. They claim they'll be out next week. Seems pretty on schedule. The only thing now is that my plumbing fix. NEED to come in. At least I got the rough-in valves...
oh..and the countertop, and the light rail, and the hardware...and the millwork for my washerdryer unit.

Day 17 gyp-ed!
So the place is coming together.
The walls have been furred out.
They've plastered.
The weird bump at the fire place is smoothed out.
The kitchen cabinets are in.
The gyp is up everywhere it can be.
The closet in the bedroom is framed.
The plumbing roughs I will pick up tomorrow + the appliances are being delivered.
And here u can see the ultimate bane of my existence. Where the soffit bumps out a little instead of being flush with the wall/cabs. BAHHHHH This is what happens when you approve a plan that's wrong and it stares you in the face with your giant signature on it.
You can see here where they forgot to move the building exhaust vent... and now it's too late. Oops.
Plus, if you look closely, the filler panel, molding, crap at the top is WRONG. WRONG. It's supposed to be plain, flat front, no weird trim.
The bathroom's hopefully gonna be finished on time... cross your fingers that those plumbing fixtures will come in!

day 14 and the shit hits the fan. literally
Change Orders. Two words dreaded by architects that contractors LOVE to say.
Change Orders:
1) electric (added under cabinet lights + bedroom light)
2) waste line
3) snaking the whole system cause it's clogged like crazzzzzzzzy
4) rebuild entire wall + soffit
If I enter bankruptcy please understand it's cause I wanted my apt to be pretty and it's really all my fault that I couldn't just live with the late 60s metal cabinets, pink bathtub, and just sitting sideways on my toilet cause the metal wall hamper stuck out too far. shit

Day 7 what is going on?
We have permits, we have deadlines, we have NO WORK BEING DONE FOR 4.75 business days. They have 2 hrs to get there and do something...anything; maybe put the window back in the window.
